Happy Birthday John Muir!
The pioneering naturalist whose efforts helped to created Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks was born in Scotland on April 21, 1838. He is shown here in this undated photo (4th from right) with Teddy Roosevelt and Gifford Pinchot (1st chief of the US Forest Service).
